Sound (Dis)obenience is a three-day international festival that includes concerts by local and foreign musicians mostly from the field of improvised but sometimes also contemporary composed music. Every year there is a music workshop led by an international guest (someone who usually performs as part of the festival anyway). On the last day of the festival there is also a concert by the participants of the music workshop. Every year there is an event of reflection on the topic of music in the form of a workshop debate round table.

Festival Sound (Dis)obedience ((Ne)poslušno) deals with staging developing reflecting and spreading research practices in music and sound. A set of various events meetings presentations of publishing activities implementation of international networks and discussions behind the bar address this diverse creative field in many ways. It (dis)obediently brings together visiting musicians interested local artists the public and the professional public. As such it is not only a festival of certain music but also and above all an exercise of openness cooperation and flexibility.
Sound (Dis)obedience is a space of exchanges where various boundary musical practices intersect at concerts workshops lectures and in other forms.
It is artistically directed by Tomaž Grom.
Since 2012 Sound (Dis)obedience has been produced in co-production with the cultural center Španski borci. It is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and the City Municipality of Ljubljana.
