Ever wondered how movies, TV shows, and video games create footsteps, explosions, creature sounds, and all those subtle details that make stories feel real? In this hands-on Foley & Sound Design Workshop, students will explore how sound brings visual media to life.
Led by professional foley expert Aiden Kalisz, this interactive session goes beyond listening—students will create, record, and experiment with their own sound effects using everyday objects and creative techniques.
🌟 What students will do:
Learn what foley is and how sound design is used in film, TV, and games
- Explore classic and unexpected foley props
- Record original sound effects using common materials
- Experiment with syncing sound to visuals and storytelling
- Develop creative and technical skills through hands-on projects
No prior experience is required—just curiosity and creativity!
This workshop is part of an exciting Spring tech workshop series leading up to 🎉 DemoCamp Jr 🎉, a student showcase where participants will demo their own projects for family and the community. Proudly sponsored by RMC (Recruitment Management Consultants).
