A sound bath is a meditative practice that involves immersing oneself in soothing sounds generated by various instruments. During a sound bath, the participant's brain experiences what is known as the "frequency following response," a natural phenomenon where the brain's electrical activity synchronizes with the frequency of the auditory stimulus. This synchronization can induce a deeply relaxed state, potentially reducing stress and promoting a sense of well-being.
What am I (as a participant) expected to do??
As a participant, the only thing I ask is that you respect the fact that this session requires COMPLETE SILENCE on your part. No talking & cell phones must be turned off (no vibration). If you must leave, excuse yourself quietly.
Find a comfortable position on your mat and just let the frequencies do the work!! All you have to do is RELAX. I will quietly walk you through a breathwork & guided meditation exercise. Immediately following this, I will begin the Sound Bath. If you feel the need to alter your position, please feel free. It is about YOU being comfortable. If you fall asleep, get a little chilly, or find yourself feeling emotional don't worry, these are all completely normal responses. As the session comes to a close, I will gently bring your awareness back to the space, give you additional instructions, and answer any questions you may have.
