About this Event

Join Maari Falsetto and guest Dr Camille Hougardy for a deeply relaxing sound and acupunture experience with HImalayan Bowls, Quartz Crystal Chakra Bowls, Earth Gongs, drums and rattles. You will be guided into a gentle meditation and then you will be bathed in sound waves, gently bringing you into a state of peace and deep relaxation.

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow (Qi) and promote healing.

Acupuncture during a sound bath promotes a deeper relaxation by stimulating specific areas of the ear associated with calming the nervous system. The Shen Men point helps reduce stress and anxiety, while the Sympathetic point soothes tension and promotes inner balance. The Kidney point supports grounding and revitalizes energy flow. Combined with the meditative and healing vibrations of the sound bath, these three points work synergistically to deepen your rest and digest state, ease mental chatter, and create a more profound sense of peace.

Using acupuncture with sound therapy can enhance the benefits of both practices. The soothing sounds can create a more relaxed environment during an acupuncture session, potentially making the experience more effective and enjoyable. The combined modalities can facilitate deeper healing by addressing both energetic and physical aspects of well-being.

Be on time: Please arrive with time to park and enter at 5:45pm when the doors open to get settled for a prompt 6pm start. Please note that I have to lock the door to begin the sound bath so better to be early than late. If it is raining, please stay warm and dry in your car until 5:45pm.

Be prepared: yoga mat, blanket (your temperature does drop during the sound bath), eye pillow or cover and a water bottle.

Be respectful: Turn off your phone and other noise sources. Respect the silence during the session

Be considerate: If you snore, turn on your side.

Sound healing:

Sound has been utilized in various cultures for thousands of years as a tool for healing. It not only helps with inducing relaxation, but also has a way of moving through areas of blockage to move stagnant energy, release energy patterns and habits that are no longer serving you, and bring your body, mind and spirit back into alignment.

One of the best modalities to bring the body back to its natural state of harmony is sound and vibration from Himalayan chakra singing bowls. Placed on and around the body and struck or sung, the tones and frequencies emanated from these bowls creates a sympathetic resonance that affects the body on a cellular level. These vibrations spread as concentric waves into larger circles through the entire body and entrain the brain to move into a deep Theta state. The experience is one of absolute serenity as deep relaxation and soothing resonant sound opens the flow of energy and restores balance and well-being.

There are many benefits of healing through sound and vibration including:

Stress relief

Recovery from abuse and trauma

Healing from the effects of chemotherapy

Lowers blood pressure

Mental clarity

Clears and balances chakras

Heightens intuition and perception

Removes mental and emotional negativity
