On Saturday, May 3rd, Soulshine will return to Cugini Wine Bar & Art Gallery, 804 Lake Ave, Lake Worth Beach, FL.Soulshine is a harmony-centered, acoustic Americana and contemporary folk-rock band based in Palm Beach County. They are Thia Muilenburg and Al Johnson on vocals and guitar and Tommy Strauss on hand percussion. Together, they deliver an entertaining mix of upbeat and soulful country classics
and Laurel Canyon style music, including songs by The Eagles, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Gram Parsons, Neil Young, CSNY, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Seger, Little Feat, Van Morrison and Tom Petty, as well as Thia’s and Al’s original songs.
Thia is a singer-songwriter who has released songs on Spotify, Apple Music and other platforms, including her EP, “Full Circle.” Known for her beautiful vocals and guitar, she has been gigging both solo and with her band Soulshine since 2019, and has also worked as a music therapist for 20+ years.
Al is an accomplished singer-songwriter who also leads The North Star Band, a country rock powerhouse that toured the US in the 70’s & 80’s playing “kick-ass country,” and is releasing a new album this year. Al is an attorney by day and performer by night, delivering his distinctive vocals, guitar and harmonica with
Soulshine and his own local band, Al Johnson and the Usual Suspects.
Tommy, a rhythm master who plays drums in Soulshine and other local bands, brings the beat on congas and other hand percussion.
