Join us at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church for a powerful Souls to the Polls event on Saturday, November 2nd! This is a special opportunity for our faith community to come together, worship, and take action by praying and voting in the upcoming election. The African Methodist Episcopal Church has a long history of championing social justice and equality, and we are continuing that tradition by encouraging our community to vote in large numbers and not just vote, but vote early.
The event will include:
1.) Worship service featuring ministry through music
2.) Prayers over our democracy, vulnerable populations, our nation and it's leaders.
3.) A call to action for civic engagement and voting
We’re excited to extend a special invitation to our congregation and friends to join us as we conclude our day voting, collectively, at the Urban League of Kansas, an early voting site in the historic 67214 zip code. At the Urban League, we will join with Root the Power, a youth-focused non-profit arm of Camp Destination Innovation, as they host their annual Vote Mob to increase voter turnout. Together, we will make our voices heard and stand up for our community in faith!
We invite you to worship with us, pray with us, and vote with us as we empower our community to be active participants in democracy. Let’s turn out the vote together!
Event Schedule:
11:00 AM: Worship service at St. Paul AME Church
1:00 PM: Early voting at the Urban League of Kansas
This is your chance to make an impact! Come be a part of this inspiring day of faith and action.
