About this Event

A 300-hour Yoga Alliance accredited advanced yoga teacher training program is designed for 200 hour or more yoga instructors who wish to deepen their knowledge, skills, and teaching abilities. This advanced training program offers a more comprehensive and in-depth study of yoga philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, meditation, bhakti, subtle body, personal practice and so much more. Each student, with the guidance of lead teacher Sarah Woods gets to choose and follow their path of truth!

Soul Tree's 300 hour Program:

Advanced Yoga Techniques: The program will cover advanced yoga postures, pranayama (breath control), meditation techniques, and more. You'll refine your own practice and develop the ability to guide students in more challenging asanas.

Yoga Philosophy: You'll delve deeper into the philosophical underpinnings of yoga, including the study of ancient texts like the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. You'll explore the spiritual and ethical aspects of yoga.

Anatomy and Physiology: Advanced training will provide a more in-depth understanding of the human body, including the musculoskeletal and physiological aspects related to yoga practice. This knowledge is crucial for injury prevention and alignment.

Teaching Methodology: You'll refine your teaching skills, including how to sequence classes effectively, adjust postures, and adapt to different student needs. This program may also include workshops on teaching specialized populations, such as prenatal or senior students.

Meditation and Pranayama: You'll learn advanced meditation and breathwork techniques and how to incorporate them into your classes. This can help you and your students experience a deeper connection to the practice.

Yogic Lifestyle and Ethics: You'll explore the principles of a yogic lifestyle, including diet, daily routines, and ethical considerations. This knowledge can enhance your personal practice and guide your students in making more holistic choices.

Teaching Practicum: You'll have opportunities to lead classes and receive feedback from experienced instructors and peers. This helps you gain confidence as a teacher.

Business and Marketing Skills: Some programs offer guidance on building a successful yoga teaching career, including branding, marketing, and studio management.

Sanskrit and Mantra: You may study the basics of Sanskrit, the language of yoga, and learn to chant and use mantras in your practice and teaching.

Final Assessment: Typically, there will be a final assessment, which may include a written exam, a teaching demonstration, and perhaps even a research project.

Certification: Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a 300-hour Yoga Alliance certification, which is a recognized standard in the yoga industry.

Keep in mind that the specifics of a 300-hour advanced teacher training program can vary from one school or studio to another. It's essential to research different programs, their curriculum, and the qualifications of the instructors to find the one that best aligns with your goals and interests.

The teacher lineup for your 300-hour Yoga Alliance accredited advanced yoga teacher training program includes highly qualified and gifted guides. The expertise and teaching abilities of the instructors are crucial to the quality of your training and the depth of knowledge you'll gain. Here are some factors to consider when evaluating the qualifications and qualities of your teachers:

Experience: Consider the years of experience each teacher has in practicing and teaching yoga. Experienced instructors often bring a wealth of knowledge and insights to the training.

Credentials: Look at their certifications and qualifications. Ensure that they have the necessary certifications to teach yoga and that they are registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level or higher.

Teaching Style: Each instructor may have a unique teaching style. It's beneficial if the instructors' teaching styles align with your learning preferences and personal goals.

Specializations: Some teachers may have specialized knowledge in areas such as anatomy, philosophy, meditation, or specific yoga traditions. It can be beneficial to have a diverse set of skills among the instructors.

Reputation: Research the reputation of the instructors in the yoga community. Feedback from previous students and peers can provide valuable insights into their teaching abilities.

Communication Skills: Effective communication is essential for teaching yoga. Consider the instructors' ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Supportive and Empathetic: A good instructor should be supportive and empathetic, creating a safe and nurturing learning environment. They should be able to connect with and understand the needs of their students.

Continuing Education: In the field of yoga, it's important for instructors to continue their own education and personal practice. Instructors who are committed to lifelong learning often bring fresh perspectives and insights to their teaching.

Diversity and Inclusivity: Consider whether the instructors promote diversity and inclusivity in their teaching. Yoga is for everyone, and instructors who value and respect all students create a more welcoming environment.

Passion and Dedication: Passionate and dedicated instructors often inspire their students to deepen their own practice and commitment to yoga.

The presence of highly qualified and gifted guides is a significant asset to your teacher training program. They can provide you with a more enriching and transformative experience, helping you develop not only as a yoga teacher but as a practitioner and individual as well. Don't hesitate to ask questions and engage with your instructors to make the most of this learning opportunity.

Along with your lead teacher, Sarah Woods, we welcome Manoj Chalom, Asha Wolf, Melissa Carey, Lisa Fierer, Lindsey DePeri Franz, Dawn Thie, Shanin Weisberg...stay tuned for more!!
