About this Event
Steeped in the traditions of Japanese rope bondage, these weekly private sessions will cover a range of shibari patterns and techniques, and exercises of beautiful simplicity emphasizing connective tying. The history and origins of Shibari are outlined, as well as a prerequisite safety discussion. Classes are tailored to each individual's skill level in rope. Spaces strictly limited.
May/June 2022:
x4 fortnightly class course beginning Monday, 9th of May. 1:1 instruction, 75 minutes duration. Option of 7pm or 8.15pm start time. Dates: 9/5, 23/5, 6/6, 20/6
x6 weekly class course beginning Wednesday, 18th of May. Group class, 2 hours duration. 7pm start time. Dates: 18/5, 25/5, 8/6, 15/6, 22/6, 29/6
***Please note: no class Wednesday, 1st of June. Students are invited to attend Polyfinda's Shibari Lounge at the Golden Monkey Bar, Melbourne.
**This is a partnered class. Please make arrangements for a tying partner well in advance. Alternatively, a model can be booked at extra cost.**
The workshop is open to people of all genders and orientations. Wear comfortable clothing, as for a dance or yoga class. Underwear is ok too.
