In celebration of Black History month, First Reformed Church of Lancaster will present Soul & Spirit, a sacred arts experience celebrating Black history, faith, resilience, justice, and hope through Gospel music, Jazz, and the Spoken Word on Sunday, February 22 at 4 PM in their sanctuary at 40 E. Orange Street in downtown Lancaster. Soul & Spirit is not a traditional concert—it is worship through art. Through sound and story, the program honors the past, speaks truth to the present, and imagines a hopeful future.
Hosted by Dr. Dominique Denman, Soul & Spirit invites the community into a meaningful Black History Month celebration rooted in faith, creativity, and collective memory. The program also features Dr. Kellie Turner, and Ms. Alanna Piper.
All are warmly invited to experience Soul & Spirit where you can expect a 90-minute curated sacred arts program of Gospel music, Jazz, and Spoken Word performances, a welcoming, reflective, and celebratory atmosphere with a diverse audience from across the Lancaster community.
Come as you are. Bring your spirit. Leave inspired.
This event is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be received during the program to support the ongoing care, repair, and sustainability of First Reformed Lancaster’s historic sacred space.
