🤷🏼♂️ WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHAT ARE THE FACILITIES?
This year we organise Sorø Meet for the 15th time – as always no competition, only training and good times! We have a big hall available for us 24/7 and we will be sleeping in classrooms right next to it. Beside the classrooms we will build a "hang out" lounge with tables, sofas, games and activities. In the hall there's separate showers and locker rooms for males and females.
📅📍 WHEN AND WHERE?
The meet takes place annually from Thursday-Sunday in the 7th week of the year, and this time is no different. The location of the meeting will be the same as the last few years:
- The facilities of "Rosborg Gymnasium" in the city of Vejle
- 30 minutes from Billund Airport
- 2 hours from Copenhagen
💶 HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
We are paying the school to rent their facilities, so there will be a fee for anyone sleeping there:
- 450 DKK for anyone sleeping at the school
- Free of charge for anyone who are sleeping elsewhere
🛌🏼🚿 DO I GET A MATTRESS AND WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Every freestyler attending from outside of Denmark will be given an inflatable mattress upon arrival to sleep on. All Danish freestylers need to bring their own mattress to sleep on. Everyone need to bring for themselves:
- A sleeping bag or blanket and pillow
- A towel for showering
- Shower gel and shampoo for showering
- Own ball and training equipment
- Warm clothes as Denmark is cold during this time of year
✈️🚌 NEAREST AIRPORT AND HOW TO GET TO THE SCHOOL
The nearest airport is Billund Airport which is located approximately 30 minutes from Vejle. See below for a detailed description of how to get to the school from both Billund Airport and Copenhagen airport:
- From Billund: go to the bus stop and take BUS 43 towards Vejle and get off at the stop named "Vejle, Damhaven v Regionshuset" and walk from there to Rosborg Gymnasium (address: Vestre Engvej 61, 7100 Vejle). The trip is around 35 minutes and costs around 8 euro. The bus doesn't accept credit cards, so make sure to buy a ticket before you get on the bus through the “Rejsebillet” app or get some money from an ATM so you can pay cash. The bus departs two times every hour.
- From Copenhagen: go to the central station and get on any train going towards Aalborg st., as they also go by Vejle st. - if you get on a "lightning train" the trip will take around two hours.
When you arrive at Vejle station, the easiest thing is to walk to the school (around 15 minutes), but if you're lazy there's buses which can take you part of the way as well (bus 214 towards Give). We will post a map on this event page with the walking directions as well.
🏪🍕 NEARBY SHOPS AND PIZZERIAS
We will be having a small shop in the hall where it's possible to buy water, soda and snacks during the day. For bigger things the nearest supermarket is located around 1 km from the school (10 min walk). A little bit further away there's a shopping mall named Bryggen with lots of different shops.
Nearest pizzeria is also located around 10 min from the school (Da’Vica Pizza Vejle Centrum), however, there's a bunch of pizza-places in Vejle where you can order pizza from directly to the school (but most of them will only accept orders at 100-200 kr or above):

Wolt and similar food delivery services operate in Denmark, so it is possible to order food through those as well.
