Saturday, October 25, 2025 OutingDear Saabist friends, dear SCR members and supporters,
Hoping to see you all again, your committee is proposing the fourth and final outing for 2025.
It will begin with a traditional coffee and croissant at the Auberge Communale de Bogis-Bossey (VAUD). We will then continue in convoy along the roads of Vaud and Geneva to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in Geneva, for a tour with audio guides in the language requested.
Afterward, we will head to the café-restaurant de la Poste in La Plaine for lunch. And to end the afternoon in style, we will travel in convoy to the Verbois dam on the Rhône to admire the view. Depending on the weather, we might also enjoy a drink in a café in the Geneva countryside.
This outing will take place regardless of weather conditions.
We are counting on everyone's presence before we meet again for the LAST activity of 2025.
Program:
Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025. From approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Meet at 9:00 a.m. sharp at the Bogis Bossey Community Inn, Chemin de la Pinte 1, 1279 Bogy-Bossey. Coffee and croissants (provided by the Club). Parking spaces are available next to the Inn and in the surrounding parking lots.
Convoy route: Departure at 10:00 a.m. sharp from Bogis Bossey, heading to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum, Avenue de la Paix 17, 1202 Geneva. Our convoy will travel off highways and only on secondary and country roads. Expected arrival at 10:45. Visit at 11:00.
At 12:15-12:30, departure for the Café Restaurant de la Poste, Route de La Plaine 115, 1283 La Plaine. Expected arrival at 13:00. Parking space next to the restaurant. Lunch scheduled for 13:15/13:30. Then, departure from the restaurant by road in convoy around 15:00-15:30 to the Verbois Dam on the Rhône.
Then, depending on the weather, convoy through the Geneva countryside and stop at a café for a nightcap.
Lunch menu at the Café Restaurant de la Poste:
Starter: Egg Mimosa. Main Course: Roast pork with thyme jus, dauphinois gratin, green beans. Dessert: Iced Yule Log.
Drinks at the restaurant at lunchtime are at your own expense.
Price of the outing includes: Coffee, croissant, Museum tour, and restaurant menu:
Members: CHF 58.00
Supporters: CHF 63.00
Children under 18: CHF 52.00 (members and/or supporters)
2025 annual membership fee (for those who have not yet paid their amount):
Individual: CHF 50.00
Couple: CHF 80.00
Payable to the treasurer in cash on site. Or by bank transfer to the President. Request the IBAN for the transfer.
Distribution of the new SCR flyers and the new SAAB pennant to those who do not yet have them.
For organizational reasons, registration is required by Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at noon. Please contact the President (by email to the SCR address or on the Club's Facebook Messenger page).
Please inform the President of the number of participants, whether members or not, and the number of SAABs.
Please bring change; it will be easier and more convenient for you and the treasurer !
