The National Museum of Mexican Art is proud to honor Lynda Carter with the 2022 Sor Juana Legacy Award for her outstanding contributions to the arts. The award recognizes women of Mexican descent for their lifetime achievements.

Born Lynda Jean Cordova Carter to Juanita and Colby Carter, her mother’s family hailed from Chihuahua, México. Perhaps best known for winning our hearts as TV’s Wonder Woman, the 1972 Ms. World title holder is also an accomplished singer who has performed to rave reviews before sold-out audiences around the world. Lynda is an avid supporter of many nonprofit organizations and causes and was just named to the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum.
