Soothsayer presents: KSMBA Known for their signature hypnotic grooves and percussive perfectionism which has ensnared crowds across the country and following the release of their debut EP ‘Emwe’ this July, Naarm’s very own rising star KSMBA is set to bring 3 hours of raw, undeniable energy to their debut headline show at QQQ. ST Park on Saturday 3rd of August.
KSMBA’s sets are constructed with precision and grit, unifying dancefloors with an undeniable inertia. Their sound has seen them become one of the most in demand DJ’s in the country in the past 18 months, supporting Mall Grab, Samba Boys, Effy, LSDXOXO and STÜM and making sonic sanctuaries of renowned venues and festivals from Sub Club to PICA, Teletech to Pitch Music and Arts.
KSMBA’s unique sound is on full display in their highly anticipated forthcoming debut EP “Emwe” out soon on STÜM’s Happy Wax Records. Emwe, meaning “one” in Runyankole dialect, weaves together an array of influences ranging from their Urgandan heritage to Techno’s roots Black culture. Transitioning from classical music to the techno scene KSMBA brings a mature sound, seamlessly blending sharp drum patterns and deep basslines across the EP to provide an initial distillation of their sonic landscape.
We are proud to host some outstanding talent alongside KSMBA, with support from Naarm’s widely renowned UK Funky and Hard Drum savant Tinika and rising percussive techno selector Guhrl. Tickets on sale 5pm Thursday 11th July and are highly limited for what will be an unforgettable night.
