A Night of Progressive Fusion and Doom at Livewire Lounge – Feb 20Sons of Ra returns to the Livewire Lounge on Friday, February 20, for a night dedicated to pushing the boundaries of heavy music. The Chicago-based avant-garde jazz fusion ensemble brings their signature blend of cerebral complexity and visceral power to the stage.
They are joined by a formidable lineup of heavy hitters:
• What We Owe the Dead: This new progressive doom metal outfit brings crushing riffs and atmospheric weight, fresh off their 2025 release Rituals of the Collapse.
• Flood the Desert: Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, this power trio delivers "prog-sludge" that channels the groove of Mastodon with the technicality of Rush.
• Jason Blake: Opening the night is the renowned Warr Guitarist (Aziola Cry). Blake is a master of the 12-string touchstyle instrument, creating soundscapes that bridge the gap between ambient texture and technical prowess.
