Experience epic views of the Valley of the Moon from Sonoma Mountain in historic Jack London Park! We’ll explore the immense history and scenic beauty of Jack London’s estate on this 8.5 mile out and back hike. The first half our trip will be preoccupied with what remains of the ranch. Once we’ve hiked a mile to London Lake, the climb to the park's summit on Sonoma Mountain begins. We’ll hike 3.3 miles along fern-lined creeks and through groves of redwoods as we gain 1,800 feet of elevation. Along the way, we’ll pass May’s Clearing, where visibility extends 60 miles out to Mt. Diablo!
