SONNY FALLS
Sonny Falls is the songwriting project of Chicagoan Ryan "Hoagie" Wesley Ensley. Informed by years of communal living and a disdain for the traditional “Rock Band” set up, Hoagie has a prolific and collective mentality. This mindset allows space for an exciting dynamic where, harnessed by a workaholic foundation, an endless configuration of collaboration can take place with a rotating cast highlighting some of Chicago’s finest musicians.
Sonny Falls' dynamic sonic spectrum, ranging from sparse acoustic sounds to noise rock, has earned Hoagie and company recognition from The Chicago Tribune, American Songwriter, Flood Magazine and Talkhouse, The Big Takeover, Post-Trash and more.
Sonny Falls' 1st album, Some Kind of Spectre, was released by Chicago-based Sooper Records
Sonny Falls' 2nd album, the double LP "All That Has Come Apart / Once Did Not Exist" was released in 2020 via Brooklyn-based Plastic Miracles.
Sonny Falls' 3rd album, Stoned, Beethoven Blasting is being released by Minneapolis-based Forged Artifacts
