About Sandman Sleeps:
Formed in 2009 by sisters Cristina Peck (vocals, guitar) and Alex Peck (bass) in Nashville, Tennessee, Sandman Sleeps has become a rising force in South Florida's indie rock scene. After a brief hiatus, they reunited in 2019 with Zack Jones (guitar, vocals) and Karsten Andersen (drums), and later in 2023, Joey Mason joined the band on drums. This dynamic group is known for their evocative sound and deeply introspective lyrics, drawing inspiration from bands like the Pixies, Kate Bush, Talking Heads, and Tori Amos.
Their debut album, Crisis Actor, released on March 26th, 2022, is a powerful compilation of songs crafted over a decade, reflecting the band’s evolution and depth. Tracks like “Fellini” and “Portrait of Jennie” perfectly illustrate their ability to fuse captivating melodies with thought-provoking lyrics, making Sandman Sleeps a must-see act for fans of alternative and indie rock. Their unique blend of sound and emotional storytelling will keep you enthralled from start to finish.
In 2023, they began recording their highly anticipated second album, inspired by the Strawberry Moon of June 2022, continuing their journey of crafting emotive and multi-layered music.
