From Inspiration to Song: Demystifying the Process (Oct. 11-12)In this unique weekend workshop, students will develop their songwriting skills through discussions, exercises, critiques, and group collaboration guided by two award-winning songwriters. Over the course of two days, they will learn how to recognize and capture "song seeds" and draw upon inspiration as a starting point for lyrical explorations. In addition, discussions of basic musical concepts will help students create a tool kit for crafting their songs. All levels are welcome, but students should possess basic proficiency on an accompanying instrument (guitar, piano, banjo).
