Songwriters In The Round Showcase with three artists from Southeast Ohio. Ben Davis Jr. is a renowned and award-winning musical storyteller. His authentic lyrics and organic instrumentation combine country, folk, and rock to create a deeply emotive sound that reflects the people, places, and memories of his home.Originally from Columbus, Caitlin Kraus is an Athens, OH-based musician and singer-songwriter whose music is melodic, largely lyric-based, and falls within indie-folk/alternative genres. In 2020, Caitlin completed her first full-length album What Rises followed by her second full-length album Gone Beyond. When not writing music or performing, Caitlin works as a counselor and music therapist in the mental health field.
Athens, Ohio based singer-songwriter Megan Bee's work has been called "as real as it gets". Her fourth studio album Cottonwood was listed in the best of 2022 by Americana UK and No Depression Magazine. Influenced by her background as an environmental educator, she weaves imagery and metaphor from nature into her lyrics creating evocative songs of place.
