About this Event

Featuring

1. Stephen Kohler

Stephen was raised in a musical family, and at the age of 15, he discovered the electric guitar, piano, and vocals, which ignited a lifelong passion for rock and pop styles. Inspired by everything from the Beatles to Black Sabbath, Stephen loves to blend melodic hooks with a rhythmic punch. His debut solo album, Daydream, along with singles from his forthcoming album, Anthem, are available now on all streaming platforms.

2. K.L. Rose

K.L. Rose has been playing and singing country music his whole life. He started writing songs after moving to Nashville as a teenager, sitting in honky tonks and bars listening to writers pour out their carefully crafted stories. K.L.’s songs are lyrical and introspective, investigating complex, often painful emotions and the common human experience of hiding them away

3. Janelle Finton

Fascinated by many modes of creativity, Janelle Finton is a trumpeter, vocalist, composer, and poet who approaches music making and storytelling with wonder.Janelle is a nationally recognized musician, having performed with groups such as the Maria Schneider Orchestra, Grace Fox Big Band, and John Daversa Big Band, in addition to writing for her own group joygarden, combining elements of folk, jazz, and chamber music. After obtaining her B.M. in jazz trumpet performance from the Frost School of Music in Miami, Janelle moved to Chicago where she performs, writes, and teaches, and is continuously grateful for all the opportunities she has to share joy with people through her music!

4. Ian C Stanley

Ian C Stanley was raised in Highland Park by two professional Chicago local musicians Phil and Sarah. Needless to say, the music bug stuck.

Also a screenwriter and lover of film, Ian has been performing live as a bass player and singer since he was 14, and decided to branch off into taking his performances solo since 2022. Ranging from classic rock to alternative folk ballads, Ian hopes to stretch the limits of what it means to be a solo bass artist in the modern era’
