More about the Artists
August Lee Stevens is an emerging Bay Area-based musician and singer-songwriter with an atmospheric range of Alternative Soul and Folk. Her dynamic sound merges the lyrical rawness and simplicity of Folk songs with the lush melodies and vocals of Neo Soul. A lover of storytelling, she uses music to cut into the heart, inviting people to look in on some of her most intimate moments. Her music showcases that there is strength that comes from vulnerability and through the sharing of music hopes to provide the backdrop to the more delicate moments of life.
August is a recipient of the Local Sirens Residency with Women’s Audio Mission and her debut EP “Better Places’ was met with great review. The EP has been featured on TEDx, KQED, KALW and many other local stations.
You can find her latest releases and performance on her website and all social media platforms.

When he’s not fronting local Santa Cruz band Wolf Jett, Chris stays true to his folk, soul and country blues roots. Born in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, his voice is smooth as Tennessee whiskey and his guitar pickin’ cuts from Chet Atkins to Keith Richards in no time.
As versatile a musician as you will find, Chris is able to seamlessly intertwine classic and obscure covers with his seemingly timeless originals. He can play to any crowd under any circumstances, and he’s proven it time and time again, whether busking the streets of Europe, or touring the sweatiest clubs and hushed house parties across this good ol’ USofA.
He currently performs with a vintage hollowbody electric through a small tube combo amplifier, but he’s equally at home on acoustic. No gimmicks, no tricks, just straight vocals and guitar with a few stories in between. He has recently opened for Arcadian Wild, Brett Dennen, Cedric Burnside, Wayne “The Train” Hancock, Coco Montoya and Waylon Payne. He has performed solo at the Saratoga Mountain Winery Garden Stage, KC Turner Presents, and Felton Music Hall. He frequently does covers by Paul Simon, Fleetwood Mac, Otis Redding, Van Morrison, Bob Marley, and Neil Young, to name a few.

Esotérica Tropical, a queer Boricua bruja, defies boundaries with her show-stopping voice, intuitive folk harp, Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba rhythms, and electronic innovation. Her music challenges colonial mentality while championing sovereignty and surrealism. Her self-titled, debut album, Esotérica Tropical, will release in 2024.
Destiny bestowed a Celtic harp upon her on a Puerto Rican beach, sparking her transformation from an acupuncturist into a genre blurring musical magician. Her ritualistic and transformative performances have graced renowned venues internationally, including Oakland Museum, MACLA, Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, The Chapel, Teatro Municipal de Cusco, Festival Color Caribe, and Brava Theater. In 2022, she released a collaboration with Argentinian producer Chancha Via Circuito on his highly anticipated album "La Estrella" on Wonderwheel Recordings. Her single “Realismo Mágico” features indie powerhouse Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards.
Esotérica Tropical’s music embodies freedom and resistance in times of struggle, transforming the scars of living within an endless crisis into a beautiful, celebratory, and defiant experience.
