Songwriter James Graham shares his original work, plus some reimagined gems. James will be joined by longtime local favorites Nory Fussell and Bob Polucha, with three-part harmonies and some shared instrumentation.Originally from Southern California, James is a relative newcomer, arriving in 2016, joining Nevada City Co-Housing. He enthusiastically enjoys the local music and art scene.
James' father was a jazz pianist, and he grew up hearing standards and boogie woogie. At age 12, he started playing drums in bands. He also played acoustic guitar, and began writing songs at 18.
While in college, James learned to sing harmonies in a doo-wop band called Sons of Grease - they still get together every summer.
In the early 2000s, he was in several bands in the LA area, playing mandolin, percussion and guitar.
Recently, James has begun recording his original songs and anticipates releasing an album by the end of the year. He's excited to perform with musical collaborators Nory and Bob!
