Advance Tickets at https://uusongspace.eventbee.com!
The Three Rivers Song Collective is dedicated to creating a song series for performance and recording oriented toward below-the-surface portrayals of current or former aspects of life in the Pittsburgh region. They highlight the unique voices and perspectives of Pittsburgh songwriters in this celebration and showcase of the craft of songwriting.
The Three Rivers Song Collective are:
Tai Chirovsky (http://taichirovsky.bandcamp.com/), a Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter with a resonant voice, introspective and emotive lyrics, soothing melodies, and thick harmonies. When she is not singing, Tai gardens and is a sustainable fiber artist under the moniker Chaotic Good Embroidery.
Christopher Mark Jones (https://christophermarkjones.com/), a down-home multi-lingual song artist drawing from folk, country, blues and jazz for his folk rock meditations. Looking for the Light (2021) is his sixth album of original songs, while Montréal Encore (2022) is a French-language recording created in collaboration with Quebec poet Bernard Pozier.
Liz McBride (https://www.facebook.com/themosttosaytheleast), Youngstown’s gift to the Pittsburgh music scene. Liz sets no limits to her performance ambitions, being as comfortable with her self-penned songs as she is with covering Bert Jansch, Antonio Carlos Jobin or Françoise Hardy. Since 2016 she has become a presence in Pittsburgh and beyond through her streaming performances, as well as gracing many of our stages in songwriter showcases.
Guy Russo https://guyrusso.com/), a piano technician, singer, songwriter, husband, and father of two. He has been writing, recording, and touring out of Pittsburgh, PA since the early 2000s. Formerly one half of the duo Broken Fences, Guy has been performing as a solo act since the pair disbanded early in 2014.
Ben Shannon (https://www.facebook.com/benshannonmusic/), an American folk musician from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. As a multi-instrumentalist with formal training in poetry, he proudly navigates the territory between plain spoken and literary songs and provides refreshing perspectives on old topics. Shannon was the winner of the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter Showcase 2015; and finalist in the 2017 Kerrville Folk Festival New Song Showcase. He has three independent full album releases—Farewell Mountain (2016), Move On (2013), and Trigger Finger (2020).
Brad Yoder (https://bradyoder.com/), Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter who has been writing and performing original songs for over 30 years. Brad was a 2023 and 2021 Kerrville New Folk Finalist, a 2018 Wildflower Arts Fest finalist, and 5-time Pittsburgh City Paper “Best Acoustic/Solo Artist.” His songs have appeared on network TV, in a museum exhibit, and were once laser-engraved onto a TV tray. Brad also plays saxophones (and occasionally glockenspiel.)
