The revolution is going to need a lot of singing and dancing to sustain us. These times call for renewed self and community care practices. In this spirit, join Songs of Love and Resistance on the winter solstice to celebrate the darkest day of the year before the light returns and days grow longer. We will explore somatic practices; protest, freedom, and love songs from around the world; improvisational singing; sound healing; and other resilience practices.
This event is all about celebrating the power of music to spread love and inspire change. We’ll explore different songs that have moved hearts and minds throughout history. From anthems of protest to ballads of unity, we’ll dive into the stories behind the music and how they continue to resonate today. Don’t miss out on this workshop that will have you singing along and feeling empowered.
