Martin Luther King, Jr.'s indomitable leadership left an indelible mark on Mississippi, where the battle for equality and justice raged fiercely. From the courageous Freedom Rides to the empowering voter registration drives, Mississippi served as a vital battleground for King's vision of a more inclusive society.
