Nat Lawrence (aka Orphaned in Storyville):
Somewhere between soundtrack producer and acoustic singer-songwriter, Nat Lawrence AKA Orphaned in Storyville combines the moody lyrical songwriting of artists like Tom Waits or Randy Newman with his contemporary keyboard skills in order to play songs that read like stories. All Nat’s songs are true stories whether or not they really happened. Some about the time he and his wife escaped the grim reaper by floating on a canopy bed down the Mississippi River, or about the time he busked on Royal street with the ghost of Lois Prima, or about his whirlwind love affair and messy divorce with the month of August. Let his songs take you on a raucous tour through places that only exist in your imagination. https://www.tumblr.com/orphanedinstoryville
