TheatreOne is proud to bring First Impressions Theatre’s production of Songs For Nobodies to Nanaimo’s Malaspina Theatre Friday, January 31st at 7:30pm and Saturday, February 1st at 2:00 and 7:30 pm.
When a great singer lets her voice float out over a crowd, or from the grooves of thousands of records, or flow through radios into millions of homes across the world, she makes countless unknown connections with people.
This one-woman powerhouse performance, starring Sheila Sharma and a live band, weaves the music of legendary divas Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, Billie Holiday, Edith Piaf, and Maria Callas through a mosaic of stories, told by the everyday women who had unexpected life-changing encounters with these musical icons.
Featuring such favorites as “Come Rain or Come Shine,” “Crazy,” and “Ain’t Nobody’s Business If I Do,” Songs for Nobodies illuminates the power of song to share a story, heal a heartbreak, and inspire a dream.
