ABOUT THE MUSICIANS

Mel Farrimond is a Scottish-born singer-songwriter who was a recent ‘Best Songwriter’ nominee in The Coast’s Best of Halifax Awards. Mel’s introspective folk songs, intelligent lyrics and catchy melodies are earning her a loyal following. She has performed in North America and the UK, and has produced song circles, including Songbird North for the Songwriters’ Association of Canada.
David Muise is a singer songwriter from Cape Breton. David’s roots run deep in the Irish storytelling tradition through song. Since the release of his debut solo CD called “The Journey” he has been busy playing at various song circles, solo and duo gigs, and an opportunity to play on one of the Stan Fest stages. David is also the Author of a children’s book called Archie the Pit Rat Hero published by Breton Books in 2007. Other musical interests include performing in Pipe and Drum bands. David is a former member of the Pipes and Drums of Clan Farquharson and was a member of the Colchester Legion Pipes and Drums during their tour in Holland for the 65th Anniversary of the Liberation of that country from WWII.
