About this Event

Songhold is an album of music to hold the world in love. Since Spring this year, ten tracks have been tenderly brought to life in the recording studio in Shaken Oak Farm, Oxfordshire, and are now ready to be shared with the public.

Singer-songwriter Jackie Singer is joined by the full band for this launch gig. Josie Webber (cello / bass), Melissa Holding (koto, accordion, piano) and Tobias Sturmer (percussion) plus special guests. Together they weave musical prayers and spells of connection with the unseen world.

This is your invitation to cosy up, sing along or just listen and bask in the resonance of the ancestral and archetypal Mother and Grandmothers.

There will be refreshments and a chance to connect with others, plus of course, the Songhold CD (and digital downloads) will be on sale with an option to get it signed. If you were one of the Crowdfunder supporters who claimed a physical CD as a reward, you can collect it here.

Jackie Singer is a shamanic artist living in Oxford, UK.
She uses her voice as a tool for healing both in one-to-one sessions and in chanting groups. Jackie last produced a solo album, 'She is Gold' in 2001 and since then has released 4 albums with the folk trio / foursome Kismet.
Jackie is also a storyteller, celebrant and author of the book 'Birthrites- Rituals and Celebrations for the Child-Bearing Years', and the poetry collection, 'Loom'.
