Grab The Beat is happy to announce a new musical workshop !Pre-Intermediate /Intermediate Level
Do you love making music? Have you always wondered if you could write your own song? Have you tried to write a song but get stuck every time? Than this workshop is for you!
In this workshop we will go over the basic tools of songwriting, look at examples and (start to) write a song ourselves. Every style/genre is welcome!
Practically:
There will be one guitar and one interface + microphone, but bringing an instrument or laptop with DAW that you are comfortable with is recommended, as the participants will work individually (or in smaller groups, what they prefer) on their song.
Writing experience is not necessary, but a basic understanding of music/your instrument is recommended, as we will focus on the writing part.
The workshop will focus on music that has lyrics, but if you want to make something instrumental, you are also very welcome.

Hello, I am Jutta and I have a lot of experience with writing and not writing songs! The creative process can be intimidating to enter, but sometimes all it takes is a couple of tools and some encouragement to tame the beast. During my studies of Pop Vocals and Songwriting at the conservatory of Rotterdam and releasing music with my own project Alison Jutta, I have gone through the stages of beginning, loving, hating, rewriting, and finishing a song enough to help you on your way.
