NEW January Session Forming!Son Cubano Social Combos
Thursdays at 6:00 pm
January 2, 9, 16, 23 (Makeup day for any cancelations will be on Jan 30)
Son Cubano translates roughly to "the Cuban sound." The sound is very similar to Salsa music with similar instruments but also includes a Tres Guitar along with the claves, congas, timbales, maracas and bongos. The most challenging thing about dancing Son Cubano is to dance ContraTiempo or break open on the Ct 2 instead of the familiar way of dancing Salsa when we break open on the Ct 1.
In this class you students will learn social combos that can be danced at Salsa parties contra tiempo. Patterns and structure are similar to the Cuban Salsa Classes taught at TSC with a focus on the rhythm and traditional style of Son.
No partner or experience is needed. This 4 week session will get you ready for the dance floor in 1 month!
Cost:
$20 Drop in per class (1 class) per person
$72 for 4 weeks (4 classes) per person
