A few words about the show, from Cathy McManamon:-
I grew up listening to my late brother Tom McManamon( formerly of bands such as The Pogues/The Popes /Storm/Sinead O'Connor album) play OVER THE RAINBOW on his banjo ; the reason being 'The Wizard OF Oz' was his favourite film .He was known for playing it gig end from then on, and I now perform both versions in his honour after playing Judy 3 times in Number one tours uk/eire.
We both grew up in the world famous Irish Music pub 'The Favourite' and I'm continuing our legacy of winning championships in Irish dancing /music to All England level and can currently be seen as The Harpsichordist in 'Andor 2' ( star wars fans) !
Lead roles in numerous off west end/broadway musicals Often originating roles such as Anita in 'Girls Night' , and over 7 Sondheim shows, I have now written cabarets about my life to date ,and will hope to return to my Cruise Ship stage with these soon as....
My first guest tonight Victoria Waddington I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with as lead women in the musical 'Seize The Cheese' ( about the Gloucester race !) and had we known each other when performing at The Pheasantry we would have done so sooner !
We went on to sell out 2 runs there and will continue to ,,,,
I have other guests ive met in great shows such as maggie robson during Rocky Horror !
