Join John Shortis as he presents his 2024 National Folk Fellowship research into Australian protest songs.Bringing together songs and story-telling, comedy and cabaret, John and singer Moya Simpson will tell the story of Australian protest songs with their community choir, Worldly Goods.
Entry is free to this event but bookings are essential. There will be a 30 minute interval at approximately 7.25pm.
Bookplate will remain open, with dinner and light refreshments available from 5pm to 6.30pm, and again at intermission from 7.25pm to 7.55pm. Tables can be pre-booked.
Please note that all food and drinks must be consumed BEFORE entering the Theatre, as only water in bottles with lids is permitted inside the Theatre.
John Shortis is the 2024 National Folk Fellow, supported by the National Library of Australia and the National Folk festival.
