'Someone is Always Making Art' - An I-Click Photography Exhibit

Operating within the Teen Resource Centre, the I-Click Photography Project is excited to announce the 2025 youth photography exhibit, ‘Someone is Always Making Art: Explorations of the Resilience of Youth’.
This project brings together a group of youth who collaborated to decide what mattered most for them to share with the wider community at the Third Shift Festival. As participants in this program explored the rhythm of their own voices, the idea of youth resilience became central to their work. ‘Someone is Always Making Art’ reflects on the nature of that resilience; the strength it takes to become, and the hope it takes to endure.
A quote that guided this project reads:
"No matter how many bad things happen, there will always be good happening. Someone is always making art... The marginalized groups that they try to keep quiet will always exist… The people they try to silence will always be around."
Resilience isn’t just about surviving challenges. It’s also about creating, connecting, and finding ways to move forward. This exhibit is a celebration of youth resilience, a testament to their courage, creativity, and collective voice.
This program is dedicated to elevating youth voice through artistic expression. Over the summer, participants moved through processes of self-discovery and narrative storytelling. Through photography, we hear the stories they chose to tell.
