Coming soon to GL11... Some Voices is the UK’s most exciting non-audition pop choir, started in 2010 in London with just seven choir members meeting up to sing and socialise. This has grown to over 1,300 members meeting in 15 rehearsal venues across London plus locations in Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Margate, Newcastle, St Albans, Stroud, Wimborne, Portsmouth and York, and now internationally in Paris and Amsterdam.Some Voices has developed a signature style of performing original arrangements of popular songs, ranging from Bowie to Björk, from Stevie Wonder to Stevie Nicks, from Folk to Hip Hop, and everything in between - all with a Some Voices twist.
Our choir welcomes all adults over 18 to join us - there are no auditions, no need to read music and no prior experience required - just a love for music and singing!
The choir will be led by Sophie, a singer, conductor and theatre maker who has worked with Some Voices as a conductor and singer since 2015 and has loved every minute of it! Sophie also runs Some Voices’ Stroud choir, wedding choir, and outreach choirs across the UK. As a conductor, Sophie enjoys encouraging people to become confident singers, both as vocalists and performers.
