Join Bea for a 90-minute workshop focused on Somatic Yoga. This session is designed to help you release stored stress in the body utilizing the principles of somatic yoga.In this workshop, we'll explore how the body stores trauma, and how we can cultivate resilience by giving our body the opportunity to release it. However, it's important to note that trauma will not be discussed during this session. This is not a therapy session, but rather a safe space to connect with your body.
Throughout the workshop, you'll engage in gentle yet powerful yoga practices aimed at restoring balance in the nervous system. We'll cover the science behind how the brain and body respond to trauma and stress, with an emphasis on helping you recognize and respond to these signals in a way that fosters healing. Techniques to engage the parasympathetic nervous system will be emphasized, helping you transition from states of hyper-arousal to calm and grounding.
Remember, trauma is unique and personal—there is no experience too much or too little to join this session. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with their body and enhance their sense of safety and presence, regardless of your background or level of experience.
By the end of the session, you will have tools to help the body "learn" that the danger has passed, enabling a return to the present moment and the restoration of overall well-being.
No prior yoga experience is necessary; all levels are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.
