with Instructor Roberta GallagherSomatics is a gentle, mindful movement practice that focuses on your internal felt experience-- what it feels like to move from the inside. These movements are often small, subtle and designed to release chronic holding patterns and increase functional movement. The emphasis on not achieving a specific pose but on sensing, noticing and resetting patterns of tension in the nervous system and muscles.
This workshop is designed to introduce somatic movements that will help improve mobility and flexibility as well as reduce pain and tension (frozen shoulder, sciatica, tight low back and hips) and enhances athletic performance for everyone- golf, pickleball, swim, etc.
