An integrative workshop focussing on Somatics, including theory and practice. Understanding and practicing how the nervous system, brain, and body work together to help support healing and recovery. Workshop will include Somatic Movement Therapy, Joint Freeing Series, Relaxation Techniques including breathwork, meditation, restorative yoga, and Yoga Nidra/Savasana. Movements will have options for all participants to be inclusive and accessible.
Somatic Movement Therapy has been shown to be helpful for anyone dealing with nervous system dysregulation, including trauma, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, burnout, chronic stress, overwhelm, emotional dysregulation (anger/volatility/irriatibility etc), restlessness, and more.
Please bring: Water bottle, notebook/pen, yoga mat, blanket, bolster, block x2, strap, eye pillow, cushion for sitting. *Supplies will be available to borrow at Madhu
