Lys Hermanski has been singing her whole life, learning to harmonize with her family. Many choirs, bands, and jams later, she's still exploring the realms of group singing through local song circles. She is working to belong in a settler body, while living on and receiving from Traditional unceded Native Land; there is hope in healing community through singing our presences. Learn how to harmonize through embodied listening. Join facilitated harmonizing of simple, beautiful songs + exercises to reclaim singing as a birthright, and a technology of belonging. Calling on influences such as Laurence Cole, Pauline Oliveros, John Cage, Odeya Nini, and more.Festival goers with a ticket can attend. The public can also attend, suggested sliding scale donation ($5-$20).
The Woodstove Music & Arts Festival is a non-profit community arts festival presented by Cumberland Culture & Arts Society
