Somatic yoga is a type of yoga that focuses on the internal experience of the body—a.k.a. “somatics”. Each pose combines deep breathing with intuitive, slow movements. This class is based on central components of the hatha style of yoga, where participants engage in a series of physical forms and movements. Elements of standard hatha yoga are modified to maximize experiences of somatic movement to cultivate a more positive relationship to one's body. This is for all levels of yoga- very beginner friendly.
