About this Event
Somatic Dance is a guided, music-driven movement practice that supports emotional release, nervous-system regulation, and deep reconnection with the body, without needing to relive the past.
While traditional therapy helps you understand what you’re feeling, somatic dance helps you move through and release it.
Each class weaves together dynamic meditation, mantra, breath-to-movement, and moments of free, ecstatic dance to create a grounded and liberating experience. Unlike an open ecstatic dance format, this is a facilitated, structured practice with guidance throughout—designed to help you feel safe, supported, and embodied as emotions arise and release.
There is no choreography and no right way to move. You’ll be invited to follow internal cues, allow the body to lead, and express what wants to move, always at your own pace and within your own limits.
Somatic Dance works directly with the body’s innate wisdom, helping stored stress, emotions, and tension surface and release naturally. Rather than analyzing or revisiting old experiences, this practice supports real-time integration opening you to clarity, presence, and a sense of freedom.
What to expect:
- Guided dynamic meditation and grounding
- Breath to movement synchronization
- Mantra and music to support emotional release
- Periods of free, expressive dance
- A safe, non-judgmental container
This class is open to all bodies and all levels of movement experience. Whether you’re seeking emotional release, nervous-system support, or a deeper connection to yourself, Somatic Dance offers a powerful way to move, feel, and reset.
About the Facilitator:
Gina is a Somatic Dance teacher and Life Coach. She brings a trauma-informed, nervous system aware movement practice that integrates breath, meditation, mantra, and expressive dance.
Her work supports people in meeting their resilient edge, the place where regulation, self trust, and growth meet. Creating a grounded, intentional container, Gina teaches students to reconnect with their bodies and access their own inner authority. Her classes emphasize embodied boundaries, emotional integration, and present moment awareness. The somatic tools offered extend beyond the dance floor and into daily life.
With a steady embodied presence, Gina guides her students toward self-sovereignty, resilience, and authentic expression, helping them release old identities that no longer serve and move forward with clarity, strength, and choice.
