Sign up now to use the balancing nature of the Autumn Equinox to explore your limiting patterns, invite desired change into your life and let your breath uncover and clear away any subconscious hurdles standing in the way of our desires.
What happens in the session:
1. We start with a short kriya breathwork
First, we explore a stubborn issue in our life using yoga kriya pranayam Pratipaksha Bhavana to help uncover any unconscious patterns around this issue and help guide us toward a desired outcome. This active yet gentle breathwork puts us in touch with our deeper desires toward freedom, joy, ease, and steadiness.
2. We learn
Following this exercise we will speak about the connection of our breath to our nervous system, and about the psycho-spiritual impact of living with clear intentions. Ancient yogic techniques meet modern neuroscience.
3. We set soul-deep intentions
Sankalpa is a Sanskrit term for intention, San meaning "a connection with the highest truth," and Kalpa, meaning "vow.”
Using our insight from the breathwork at the start of our session, we will follow prompts and journal to arrive at an intention aligned with our dharma. We then workshop our intentions out loud, connecting to our somatic experience as we share our vows with the group.
4. We breathe again, longer
After a short break we move into the main breath work part of the class, where we settle into a Yoga Nidra like state and invite our breath to carry our intentions. We will stay in this state for about 90mins. This gentle breathwork is a technique that invites energies in the physical body and our automatic mind to move and make way for our intentions to come to fruition.
5. We debrief and integrate
Debriefing and sensemaking discussion follows the breath work session to interpret our experiences and carry them into our lives.
6. Optional home practice + text support
Taking this practice home, participants walk away with a 15 min daily Somatic Breathwork recoding to practice daily. The 15 min daily breath work recording is yours to keep to have the practice at your fingertips. Continue your practice daily for 5-10 days to harness the power of the group to absorb the benefits of the practice. A group chat will be set up on Telegram where Vanda will be available for further integration support.
Vanda Ciceryova is a yogini, yoga & meditation teacher, somatic educator, EFT practitioner, nutritionist, a recovering serial entrepreneur and mother of two. She lives in Carbondale, CO with her husband and kids.
Over a decade of experience in the health and wellness fields has led her to develop her own alchemy of Eastern and Western approaches. She integrates spiritual traditions of mindfulness, yoga therapy, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, with cutting-edge research in neuroscience, nutrition, nervous system regulation, somatic movement therapy, neuroscience, and depth psychology. And always a generous side dish of warm heart and common sense.
