About this Event
Functional Integration® offers you a gentle yet powerful approach for relief from chronic pain, neurological conditions, and improved functionality and longevity. By utilizing the principles of neuroplasticity and embodied learning, this hands-on version of the Feldenkrais Method® guides individuals toward improving movement patterns, enhancing body awareness, and addressing discomfort with scientific precision and compassion.
For instance, if you are someone living with chronic pain, Feldenkrais Functional Integration can offer hope by helping you explore new movement possibilities, reduce tension, and alleviate discomfort. Similarly, those with neurological conditions can benefit from the method's focus on enhancing coordination, balance, and overall quality of life.
Ultimately, Feldenkrais Functional Integration empowers individuals to cultivate a deeper understanding of their bodies, improve movement efficiency, and embrace a path toward sustained well-being.
Guild-Certified Instructor Dan Sykes has been practicing the Feldenkrais Method for just under 10 years, and is also a certified instructor in Systema™ Russian Martial Arts and Russian Stick Bodywork, another somatic training discipline. Dan's book, "Somatic Fanatic" follows the story of his going from mid-life crisis, to becoming a professional Somatic Educator, and many of the vital nervous system lessons he learned from master instructors around the world. Dan is also the Producer and Host of the Youtube Channel "Emergency Fish Party", which follows him around the world, training with friends and master instructors of Systema.
