Some improv/drama experience is a requirement for this workshop so participants are familiar with the basics. Do enquire if you are unsure whether it is right for you.
Emma Boddy is a seasoned Improviser & playback performer with international playback theatre group 'Story Lane'. She is a qualified solution focused hypnotherapist, personal performance coach & conductor of playback theatre.
Emma will be sharing some interesting exercises for us to explore real life stories along with an intro to a 'solution focused' approach providing a new perspective during the first two hours and then will assess whether there is energy for more content or whether the final hour is with Cathy to investigate what will translate well to an intimate style of improv performance, and practice what has been learned.
Playback is derived from improv, psychodrama and storytelling. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term goal-focused approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and helps people constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
