Deep in our community forest Cedar grove, as darkness falls on our longest night, we will join to bring forth the light, with candles, and a heartfelt meditation walk. Wear hiking shoes or boots and dress warm!Let's bring forth the light together on the darkest day of the year. Feel the wisdom of the cedar trees, breathe the forest air, and shine your inner light!
All are welcome anytime between 4 and 6pm.
Everyone will be invited to pause, reflect, and take a turn walking through the heart of a cedar bough spiral, candle in hand. Light it at the center and then find the perfect spot to nestle your own glow among the boughs. ?✨
We’re delighted to sprinkle some real magic into the lives of local kids by sharing this amazing tradition! As a nonprofit organization, we invite you to join us in protecting our precious urban forests while helping children tap into the wisdom and wonders of nature, so they can soak up the joy of every season!
?In the Big Cedar Grove at Fern Gully Forest School?
If you have accessibility needs - please contact us! It is a steep trail from the forest school, but there is an alternative access option to take an easier, shorter trail to the Big Cedar Grove from the new Community Nature Center on the other side of the forest.?✨
