Solomon Steele (SYD) and Anna Ransom (CBR) are excited to be heading out on a tour of the East Coast of Australia to celebrate the release of Sol’s EP 'Unending' and one year of Anna’s EP 'Tides'.They’re bringing fresh songs and new sounds to Sydney's folk scene, so expect an evening of intimate yet raucous music-making and heart-led storytelling in one of the most beautiful live music venues in Sydney.
Solomon Steele is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and recording artist shaping lush, heartfelt indie folk on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia. Blending understated fingerstyle guitar, warm vocals, and poetic lyricism, Solomon’s songs have been described as carrying a “stoic vulnerability,” chronicling the quiet work of trying to be okay in a chaotic world.
After years performing with beloved Sydney indie band Lilas, whose cinematic debut captured local hearts, Solomon stepped into solo work that embraces both spaciousness and sincerity. His music reflects seasons of change, self-discovery, and tentative hope, offering listeners a gentle invitation to slow down and breathe.
Deeply embedded in the Sydney music community, Solomon has collaborated with artists including Betty, Oliver Beard, Hannah Brewer, Haley Holgate, Isobel Knight, CJ Stranger, and many more. Whether on stage or in the studio, his work is anchored by a belief in showing up authentically and carving out a space in life that feels right.
Anna Ransom doesn't get out much, but when she does, she makes an impression. This bookish singer-songwriter harnesses her introspective bent and folk roots to craft songs as unique as the genre is old. Delicate acoustic arrangements make room for expansive melodies, whose understated delivery will be sure to charm and disarm, drawing the listener heart-first into its tender and honest storytelling.
In 2021, Anna won the NSW-wide APRA AMCOS Sydney Songwriters contest for her original compositions, enabling her to record her debut EP 'Tides' at The Grove Studios in Gosford with award-winning Australian record producer Scott Horscroft (Silver Chair, Paul Kelly, The Temper Trap, Empire of the Sun, DMA’s). Anna released the EP in 2024, touring with her band across Australia and opening for artists such as Hein Cooper and The East Pointers. In December 2024, ‘Tides’ was named Independent Debut Record of the Year at the MusicACT Music Awards.
