On 14th September 2025 AB Workshops introduces the Solo Over Dance Music workshop with Chez Taylor.Chez Taylor has an addiction to dance, jazz, funk and soul. Doubling sax with flute, and clarinet has led her to play such main stages as Wembley Stadium (London), The NIA (Birmingham), Newton’s Nation (Australia), Alliance Francaise (Zambia) and many more. Her performances have been acclaimed by the likes of The British Arts Council and The BBC.
Chez’s workshop makes improvisation approachable for all saxophonists, focusing on the rising trend of saxophone use in dance music across genres like House, EDM, and Garage. By teaching participants how to quickly identify song keys and select appropriate notes, the session opens up creative opportunities for both seasoned players and beginners, regardless of their affinity for dance music, making it a perfect entry point into the world of improvisation.
