Join us On August 19 when YSBF brings in dancer extraordinaire Hussain Jaffery for an evening of solo jazz!Hussain is an internationally-recognized Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz dancer, teacher, and performer based in New York City. He originally discovered the world of jazz dance at his college swing dance club at Virginia Tech, and his love has only grown since. He has titles at the International Lindy Hop Championships, performance credits at Jacob's Pillow, and these days, he teaches at Steps on Broadway and Midtown Swings. As an educator, Hussain seeks to ground his teachings in rhythm, community, self-exploration, and historical authenticity.
