This is a weekly drop-in class about learning how to dance solo with clarity and to express yourself through movement. It is not based on a specific style of dance and is instead a fusion of styles drawing from Ballroom, Jazz, Belly dance, and other styles I have studied. Each 90 minute class begins with an extended warmup, followed by exercises exploring different actions and elements of dancing and movement. The remainder of the class will be spent learning a routine, and ending with a cool down. Each week, we will add on to the routine, and the beginning of each month we will start learning a new routine.This is an all levels class, and beginners are welcome. This is NOT a partner dance class. This class is for all genders. Clothes you can comfortably move in (such as workout or gym attire) are encouraged, and knee pads and a yoga mat are welcome (but not required) for the warmup and some of the exercises we will explore.
This class costs $15/person (discounts are available).
