Solo Canoe Sailing can be a joy on a windy day, in stronger winds it is exhilerating and a fantastic way to enjoy time on the water.
This day is aimed at those who have tried solo sailing but want more practice and to develop their skills and understanding in this area. If you have your own set up thats brilliant but sails, poles and rigging are provided so that any canoe can be sailed.
This full day on the water will give you the confidence to really get to grips with the skills and techniques required as well as safety considerations, problem solving and efficiency.
During the Day we'll cover:
- Optimising any outfitting according to canoe style
- Rigging options and deployment
- Downwing, Crosswind & Upwind Sailing
- Using Trim to Steer
- Safety Consideration
